PRIVACY POLICY

  • When you fill out an “Hello” card at Public Church, or provide your details via our UCare database Website, we collect your personal contact details such as your name, date of birth, address and email address. By doing this you are “Opting In” to allow Public Church access to this information. This information is directly related to the Pastoral Care of each person or family, and never shared with any external marketing or other sites or networks. The gathering of your information is so that we can provide relevant (and age-appropriate) care and programmes for each person who calls Public Church their home, and, so that we can contact you!

Email Updates: We may send weekly emails which include a re-cap of the previous weekend’s Sunday Service teaching, and also information about what is coming up in the Public Church calendar. Text Outs: On special occasions we will send you a text, with the purpose of letting you know about an upcoming event.

  • Credit Card: providing your details by hardcopy When you provide us with your credit card information to complete a transaction such as a Tithe or Offering, or an event registration such as Youth Camp, like any organisation, it is specific to that purpose, and strictly only with your consent. Once the transaction has been performed by EFTPOS manually (MOTO) the card number details are destroyed in part (only last 4 digits are kept for verification purposes) so they cannot be duplicated.

  • Our event registrations are currently online, using a third party provider called SquareSpace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to receive a registration and payment for any upcoming events in the Public Church calendar where payments are required. The information collected during the registration process is stored on SquareSpace’s online data storage, and the general SquareSpace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Details are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

  • To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

  • As part of the promotion and “story” of Public, we have photographers and videographers record our services or events. These images may be used on our promotional material, both printed, and on our Social Media pages. If there is a reason you do not want your photo to be included this way, please send us an email to admin@public.church, and we will make sure our team are aware.

  • We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.

  • If you wish to stop receiving emails or being contacted in an official capacity by any of our team at Public Church, you may withdraw your consent, at any time, by contacting us at:

    admin@public.church

    or mailing us at:

Public Church, PO Box 5113, Daisy Hill.
